Anyone here using online accountants for ecommerce or affiliate income?
So I’ve been running a small ecommerce store on the side for about a year, and recently I’ve started dabbling in affiliate marketing too. Things are finally picking up, but now I’m getting hit with all these tax and accounting questions that I totally wasn’t ready for. I’ve always done my own taxes using basic software, but now with the ecommerce income plus affiliate payouts, it’s getting way more complicated.
I’m thinking about hiring an online accountant who actually understands ecommerce and affiliate stuff specifically. Has anyone here worked with one? Do they really help or is it overkill unless you’re making serious money?
I also stumbled across this article that kind of opened my eyes to how messy affiliate marketing taxes can get if you ignore it. Curious if others are in the same boat and what you’re doing to stay on top of it.
Would love to hear what’s worked (or not worked) for you all. Thanks!
